Carlyn Solomon, Chief Executive Officer
Carlyn brings over thirty years of senior leadership experience in global healthcare technology businesses, including drug, biotech, and medical device companies. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Hill-Rom, a $2.6B revenue global provider of medical technologies. Before Hill-Rom, Carlyn held senior positions at Edwards Lifesciences and Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He is a board member on a variety of healthcare focused companies and non-profit organizations. Carlyn holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Kansas State University.
Matt has a proven track record of growing consumer product businesses across a variety of industries at both large and small companies. Matt started his career in R&D and later transitioned into Brand Management rising in the ranks over 14 years at Procter & Gamble. Matt spent the majority of his career in Health Care at P&G including 3 years running P&G’s $450MM respiratory business consistently growing market share and profit across Vicks NyQuil, DayQuil, Sinex and VapoRub brands. Matt created the OTC sleep brand ZzzQuil which became the top selling brand in the category within 6 months after launch.Matt gained supplement industry experience while leading NA marketing for Shaklee before coming to Santa Cruz Nutritionals.
Matt holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Chris Williams, Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Chris has responsibility for the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Information Technology and the Engineering functions of the company. He has over 25 years of Operations experience in the Nutritional, Drug and Medical Device industry. Prior to joining Santa Cruz Nutritionals, Chris was Vice President of Operations for Salter Labs, a respiratory company based in the Chicago area. Before that, Chris worked for Baxter Healthcare for 22 years and most recently, led European Manufacturing Operations as Vice President with assignments in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as Ireland and the UK.
Chris holds a BS in Industrial Engineering degree from Mississippi State University.
Mike Whyte, Chief Financial Officer
Mike is a proactive finance, accounting professional and innovative problem solver. A leader in obtaining the best solutions by providing strong management, practical experience, and strategic thinking to complex issues.
He brings his extensive accounting and financial management experience including nine years in public accounting serving small and medium sized businesses, and twenty years with three large and medium-sized publicly-traded corporations. Broad experience and in-depth knowledge of finance, treasury, accounting principles, consolidations, financial reporting, SOX compliance, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, initial public offerings, accounting system controls, reviews and implementations, forecasting, budgeting and financial tax reporting. Mike has several Certifications and a BBA from Boise State University.
Jack McGrogan, HR Director
As HR Director, Jack McGrogan is responsible for ensuring the execution of Santa Cruz Nutritionals key Human Capital initiatives in support of the business strategy. His team drives the efficient and effective delivery of HR Services, processes and programs including facilitation of learning and development initiatives.
Jack is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and has lived in Santa Cruz for the past 35 years. He brings 30-years of HR experience in High Tech and Life Science. Prior to joining SCN, Jack was Organization Capability Director at Intel and has worked in HR Partner/Director roles at various high tech companies including Cypress Semiconductor, Amdahl and biotech company, Illumina.
He has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Edinboro University and a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Golden Gate University.
